The public Health Engineering has two aspects viz. Water Supply Engineering and Sanitary Engineering. The Water Supply Engineering deals with the procurement of water, its purification and distribution to the public. The Sanitary Engineering deals with the collection, conveyance, treatment and disposal of the sewage or wastewater as well as solid wastes. The subject of Water Supply Engineering has been dealt with in the author’s book entitled ‘Water Supply Engineering’.
